12 Days Tour from Tangier Itinerary
Day 1: Tangier
Our driver guide will meet you at the port or airport. Then, we’ll tour Tangier, also known as “the Bride of the North.” This contemporary city is the ideal location for endless pleasure and total relaxation.
With the help of our knowledgeable driver guide, we will visit a number of locations, including Cape Spartel and the lighthouse where the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts meet in a stunning landscape. Close by, we will also explore the well-known Hercules caves, where the Greek God of Strength rests after his exhausting 12th labor.
In addition, we’ll take you to see the walls of the medina, the Kasbah Museum, and other sites for their spiritual beauty. With supper and overnight accommodations in a hotel or riad, we will do our best to show you the Bride of the North’s most significant monuments and areas.
Day 2: Tangier, Tetouan and Chefchaouen
We’ll leave after breakfast for Tetouan. We’ll stop by some traditional villages along the road in the Jbala region. The perfume of the breeze and the pure air around the hills are just two of the many attractions in the area. We will arrive in Chefchaouen and travel through the town center, which is famed for its iconic square and markets, to see the medina. We stayed in a local hotel for the night.
Day 3: Chefchaouen, Volubilis, Meknes and Fes
Today we will travel to Fez and explore Volubilis, an ancient Roman city. After that, we traveled to Meknes, another imperial city with historical attractions. After seeing the most beautiful sights in Meknes, we travel to Fes, where we will spend the night.
Day 4: Fes City Tour
After breakfast, we will go on a guided tour of the medina (old city) with a local guide. Fes is one of the world’s most populous and oldest cities. We’ll go through narrow lanes filled with the scent of spices and colorful carpets, as well as many other Moroccan art products. Visit the Royal Palace; tanneries, potters, and other craftsmen line the sides of the road. We will next have lunch at a typical restaurant in the heart of Medina before concluding our tour and returning to our hotel.
Day 5: Fes, Azrou cedar forest, Midelt and Merzouga desert (Erg Chebbi Dunes)
We depart Fes after breakfast and go through the lovely Middle Atlas Mountains. We will stop in Ifrane, which is referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco,” before continuing on to Midelt, the well-known apple town where we will have lunch, but first we will view the monkeys in the cedar forest adjacent to Azrou. Later in the afternoon, after traveling through spectacular Berber settlements and stopping to take in the breathtaking views of Ziz Valley, we’ll continue to the Sahara desert in order to reach the incredible Erg-Chebbi sand dunes of Merzouga. Dinner and an overnight stay in a hotel or riad follow the day’s activities.
Day 6: Desert Excursion, Merzouga Village, Black Desert, Nomad Families, Camel Trekking and Overnight in Desert Camp
We will begin our excursion around the Erg-Chebbi sand dunes after breakfast. We will visit a number of interesting locations in the region, including Merzouga Lake (which isn’t constantly full of water), to observe the different species of birds that migrate to the lake, particularly in the spring Then we travel to Khamlia village to enjoy Gnawa music. We’ll continue our off-road desert adventure to the black desert hidden behind the Erg-Chebbi sand dunes. We will travel to a nomadic Berber family to learn how they live after visiting an abandoned village where the working mineral fossils are located.
After returning to Khamliya, we’ll stop at a nearby restaurant for a delectable lunch. You will begin your camel trekking adventure in late afternoon and travel to a desert camp across stunning, unusually orange-colored sand dunes. Spend your lovely moments in a wonderful location where you can nourish your spirit and take in the breathtaking sunset from the middle of the dunes. You can play on the sand dunes while listening to music during dinner and sleep at the camp. There are tons of stars in the sky.
Day 7: Merzouga, Rissani Town, Tinghir, Todra Valley and Gorges, Dades Valley and Boumalne Dades
It is best to get up early the following morning to catch a beautiful sunrise. After breakfast and a shower, travel back to Merzouga Village by camel or car for the departure to Rissani Town. We’ll stroll around the most well-known, traditional, and large market in the neighborhood to look at the goods and crafts manufactured there. Visit Rissani on a Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday for the best experience. It’s a fantastic day for folks in arid regions who want to go shopping because these three days have been okay. Later, as we ride through the Tafilalt Oasis to Tinghir, we might pause to view the prehistoric irrigation system that has been discovered there.
We will arrive in Tinjdad town, where we will have free time for lunch. Then, continue to Tinghir to explore the stunning views of Todra Valley and walk along Todra Gorge with its towering orange cliffs. The canyons of Todra Gorge are almost 1,000 feet deep, making them a preferred place for climbers. We will end our day in Boumalne, with its green valley. Dinner and overnight in a hotel or Riad.
Day 8: Boumalne Dades, Valley of Roses, Skoura, Kasbah Amridil and Ouarzazate
We departed after breakfast and traveled through the Dades Valley and gorges to reach Kalaat M’Gouna and Ouarzazate. There are numerous opportunities to take the best pictures along the path of the thousand Kasbahs that passes through Dades Valley. Then, when we pass through the Land of Roses, we’ll make a stop in Kalaat M’Gouna, also referred to as “the rose city,” to buy rosewater.
Through the oasis of Skoura, where we’ll stop to see Ameridil’s Kasbah,. We’ll take a chance to admire the Taourirte Kasbah’s architectural features after arriving in Ouarzazate in the late afternoon before you check into your accommodation. We will stay in a hotel or riad in Ouarzazate for dinner and the night.
Day 9: Ouarzazate, Atlas Studio, Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, Ounila Valley, Telouet Kasbah, High Atlas, Marrakech
After breakfast, we’ll go to Ouarzazate to see the renowned Atlas Studios. We keep traveling till we reach the historic Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. This fortified walled city, which was once a bustling trading town during the 17th century, was constructed directly on the caravan route between Marrakech and the Sahara. There are six kasbahs and a few houses inside the tall mud walls. Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia are two movies in which Ait Benhaddou has appeared.
A remarkable site to witness, Telouet Kasbah was constructed in the 18th and 19th centuries for the wealthy El Glaoui family. Later, we will drive to Marrakech city over the gorgeous Ounila valley, passing through Berber settlements. The Kasbah was adorned with vibrant mosaics and red stucco and stood in a prime spot along the caravan route. Take a break and enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant. Then, as we go over the Atlas Passes, we will stop along the way to take in the breathtaking vistas of the Atlas Mountains and the Tizi N’tichka Pass (2260m). After arriving in the late afternoon, we will spend the night at a hotel or riad in the middle of the medina.
Day 10: Marrakech City Tour
Following breakfast, you will begin your exploration of Marrakech, one of the country’s royal cities known as the Red City because of its sandstone structures. You will see the most well-known historical monuments, museums, and vibrant souks, or markets, in the medina with the help of your local guide, including the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, and the Jardin Majorelle, a botanical garden that combines art deco and Moorish design elements.
Lunch will be available to you. then carry on with your Marrakech sightseeing. Djemaa El-Fna, the Medina’s central plaza, can be explored on foot while taking in the street performers like snake charmers, musicians, acrobats, storytellers, and magicians. You can spend your free time in the evening on a restaurant patio, watching the sun set over the vibrant Djemaa El-Fna Square. Take pleasure in your supper and stay at the same hotel or riad.
Day 11: Marrakech, Casablanca, and Rabat.
After breakfast, we’ll travel to Casablanca, Morocco’s capital and most prosperous city, to explore its top attractions, including the Hassan II Mosque, the biggest mosque in Africa. Then proceed to Rabat, one of Morocco’s four imperial cities and the capital of the nation. We will learn about the Hassan Tower, the Mohammed V Mausoleum, Chellah, and Oudaya Kasbah, some of the city’s top attractions. We’ll spend the night at a hotel or riad in Rabat.
Day 12: Rabat, Asilah and Tangier
After breakfast, we will travel down Morocco’s Atlantic coast to Tangier, sometimes known as “the bride of the North.” Asilah, a stunning coastal city with pristine surroundings and Portuguese historic fortifications, will be our next visit. Lunch will be on our own time, on the last day of our ideal 12-day tour from Tangier, transfer to Tangier airport or port, and end our services.
