5 Days Tour from Marrakech

Day 1: Marrakech | High Atlas Mountains | Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah | Ouarzazate | 198 km

After breakfast, depart with the driver or guide from your riad or hotel in Marrakech, passing the mountains of the Grand Atlas, until arriving at the Tizi n Tichka at an altitude of 2,260m (the highest mountain pass in the Atlas). We will then continue south to arrive at the Kasbah of Ait-Ben-Haddou, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco, where we will make a short visit. The tour will continue to Ouarzazate.

In the vicinity of the town are the Atlas Film Corporation Studios and the Cine of Morocco, where several films set in the desert were and are still being filmed. Overnight in a traditional hotel.

Day 2: Ouarzazate | Skoura | Kelaat M’gouna | Dades Valley | 110 km

The second day of the 5-day tour from Marrakech. After breakfast in the hotel, we will drive to Boumalne Dades via Skoura to visit the 17th-century Kasbah of Amridil, then to the capital of roses and stop for a stretch and a coffee, then take the path that leads to nomad families living in caves and stop for a cup of minty tea, and have lunch in a local restaurant before continuing our journey to Dades Valley, dinner, and overnight in the Riad/hotel.

Day 3: Dades Valley | Todra Gorge | Tinejdad | Erfoud | Merzouga | 255 km

Our day will begin after breakfast with a drive to Erg-Chebbi through Tinghir, the old Moroccan Berber Jewish capital, and a visit to the Todra Gorge, with numerous stops for panoramic views along the way. We will then go to Touroug for lunch.

In the afternoon, we’ll continue to the Erg-Chebbi desert, passing via Erfoud, the fossil capital of the world, and Rissani, before arriving at the mesmerizing Erg-Chebbi dunes (Merzouga). Make your way to the hotel next door, where you’ll be spending the night.

Day 4: Explore Merzouga Desert | Khamlia | Nomad family | fossil Site | 40 km

The day in the desert will begin with a drive to Khamlia village, where black-skinned Berbers perform amazing music and dances, followed by a visit to a nomadic family to learn about their way of life and enjoy a cup of tea, before continuing to a one-hour-and-a-half stop for lunch Berber pizza.

Afternoon, we’ll return to the hotel for a cup of minty tea and to relax before the camel ride to the camp, which will take around 1 hour and 30 minutes and include a spectacular sunset as well as sandboarding from the top of the next highest dune to the camp.

Day 5: Erg Chebbi Dunes | Ziz Valley | Midelt | Azrou | Ifrane | Fes | 460 km

Make sure to get up early to catch the sunrise from the top of the next highest dune. After breakfast, we return to the hotel on your camel, and then we will drive to Fes through Erfoud, the city of fossils and dates, where we will visit a local fossil before crossing the high and middle Atlas mountains and having lunch in Midelt. In the afternoon, we’ll continue our 5-day tour from Marrakech to Fes and Merzouga Desert to Switzerland, Irfan, and go through the cedar forest and see the monkeys. After that, we drive you to your Riad/Hotel.End our services.
