DAY 1: TANGIER TO CHEFCHAOUEN

Embark on the first leg of your 8-day journey from Tangier to Merzouga. Meet your guide-driver at Tangier port or airport and head towards Chefchaouen, nestled in the Rif Mountains. Explore the captivating town of Chefchaouen, also known as Chaouen, which was founded in the 15th century by Muslims and Jews seeking refuge from Christians. Despite its relative obscurity until the 20th century, Chefchaouen’s timeless charm remains unchanged, offering visitors a glimpse into the Andalusian townscapes of ancient times. DAY 2: CHEFCHAOUEN TO FES VIA VOLUBILIS

Pause for lunch near Ouazzane before continuing to Volubilis, home to the best-preserved Roman ruins in Morocco. Explore the ancient site with a guided tour, marveling at its mosaic floors, intricate streets, and well-preserved structures. Nearby lies the old village of Moulay Driss Zerhoune, the final resting place of the founder of the first Arab Islamic Dynasty in Morocco. Enjoy a refreshing mint tea break before proceeding to Fes. DAY 3: GUIDED TOUR OF FES MEDINA

After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of the Fes medina at 10:00 am. Begin at the southern tower, offering panoramic views of the medieval city. Explore a pottery cooperative to learn about traditional Moroccan mosaic craftsmanship. Lose yourself in the labyrinthine streets of Medina, transported back in time to the bustling alleys of the 8th century. DAY 4: FES TO MERZOUGA VIA ERFOUD AND ERG CHEBBI

DAY 6: MERZOUGA TO TODRA GORGE VIA JORF

DAY 7: TODRA GORGE TO OUARZAZATE VIA DADES VALLEY AND SKOURA

Journey to Dades Valley, admiring the majestic formations of the High Atlas Mountains. Explore the Rose Valley, known for its rose water production, and witness the annual rose harvest festival in May. Continue through the old palmery of Skoura to reach Ouarzazate.

DAY 8: OUARZAZATE TO MARRAKECH VIA AIT BEN HADDOU

Conclude your 8-day tour with a visit to Ouarzazate’s cinema studios and Kasbahs before heading to the ancient village of Ait ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its well-preserved architecture.
