8-Day Tour from Casablanca Itinerary
Day 1: Casablanca, Rabat, Meknes and Fes
Commencing our 8-day journey from Casablanca to Marrakech and the Imperial Cities to Fes, we’ll collect you from your Casablanca hotel or airport. Our first stop will be Rabat, Morocco’s administrative capital, where we’ll visit the Hassan Tower. Then, we’ll proceed to Fes, where you’ll enjoy dinner and spend the night in a traditional Riad.
Day 2: Fes Sightseeing Tour with a Local Guide
After breakfast, we’ll embark on a full-day guided tour of the Medina, immersing ourselves in its historical sites such as the Jewish quarter, Royal Palace, and old souks. We’ll also explore the tanneries before returning to our Riad for the night.
Day 3: Fes Azrou, Cedar Forest, Medilt, Ziz Valley and Merzouga Desert
Continuing our tour, we depart for the desert via Ifrane and the Azrou cedar grove, where we may spot wild monkeys. Passing through Ziz Valley and Erfoud, known for its marble fossils, we arrive in Merzouga via Rissani. Here, we’ll experience the desert.
Day 4: Merzouga Excursion 4×4
Today, we’ll venture into the Erg Chebbi Dunes, exploring the desert’s wonders, such as the seasonal lake of Merzouga and traditional Gnawa music in Khamlia. After lunch, we’ll ride camels into the sand dunes and spend the night in a luxury camp.
Day 5: Merzouga, Rissani, Erfoud, Todra Gorges and Dades Valley
After capturing the sunrise, we’ll return to the hotel for breakfast before journeying to Dades Valley via Erfoud and Jorf. En route, we’ll visit Todra Gorges, marveling at its magnificent canyons.
Day 6: Dades, Skoura Oasis, Ouarzazate, Marrakech
Heading to Ouarzazate, we’ll pass through Berber settlements and Skoura Oasis. In Ouarzazate, we’ll visit Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas studio before continuing to Marrakech via Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its kasbahs and film sets.
Day 7: Marrakech City Tour
Today, we’ll explore Marrakech’s Medina, visiting historical landmarks such as El Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, and Majorelle Garden.
Day 8: Marrakech Airport

Casablanca City:
The impressive edifice in Casablanca was commissioned by King Hassan II and stands as one of Morocco’s most spectacular constructions. It was constructed by Bouygues, a renowned civil engineering firm, following the design by Moroccan-born French architect Michel Pinseau.
Rabat City:
The Hassan Tower, an iconic landmark in Rabat, symbolizes the city’s heritage. Originally part of a grand mosque planned by Yacoub Al Mansour in the 12th century, it remains the sole remnant of the ambitious project.
Meknes City:
Established as an Almoravid military outpost in the 11th century, Meknes flourished under Sultan Moulay Ismail (1672–1727), the inaugural ruler of the Alawite dynasty.
Fes City:
Founded during the eighth and ninth centuries under Idrisid rule, Fez initially comprised two rival communities. Subsequent waves of Arab migration from Ifriqiya and al-Andalus in the early ninth century shaped the city’s Arab identity.
Ziz Valley:
The expansive Ziz Valley, commencing approximately south of Rich in the Middle Atlas and around 30 kilometers north of Errachidia, offers a rugged passage southward through the Tunnel du Zaabel, constructed by the French in 1928.
Merzouga Desert:
Legend has it that Merzouga was once a lush tropical forest before divine intervention transformed it into a desert. Initially uninhabited, Merzouga later evolved into a vital trading hub, facilitating commerce with Timbuktu.
Todra Gorge:
Located near the town of Tinerhir in Morocco’s eastern High Atlas mountains, the Todra Gorges comprise limestone river canyons carved by the Todgha and nearby Dates rivers over their final 40 kilometers through the mountains.
Dades Valley:
With origins dating back millions of years, the Dades Valley is a geological marvel, believed to have been submerged beneath the ocean. Tectonic forces subsequently uplifted the area, giving rise to the Atlas and Jebel Saghro mountain ranges.
Ait Ben-Haddou:
Once home to over 98 families until the 1940s, the Ait Ben-Haddou palace now hosts only five families. One of these families converted their residence into a coffee shop, offering visitors insights into the original inhabitants’ way of life.
Marrakech City:
Yusuf ibn Tashfin of the Almoravid dynasty founded Marrakech in the mid-11th century, and it served as the Almoravids’ capital until the Almohads conquered it in 1147. Subsequently, the Marnids, whose principal seat was the northern city of Fès, assumed control of Marrakech in 1269.
